Sante Recruitment is pleased to partner with Calvary Launceston, home to St Vincent’s and St Luke’s private hospitals, to recruit experienced Hospital Medical Officers seeking flexible, rewarding work across medical, surgical and high-dependency settings.

This is an excellent opportunity for PGY3+ doctors looking to broaden their clinical exposure, gain experience in private hospital medicine, and work alongside respected Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs) and multidisciplinary teams.


As a Hospital Medical Officer, you will provide onsite medical support across:

* **High Dependency Unit (HDU)**
* **Medical and surgical wards**
* **Emergency medical responses including Code Blue**

You will collaborate closely with VMOs, nursing teams, and allied health staff to ensure the highest standard of patient care. This role requires strong communication, clinical confidence and the ability to work independently within a supportive environment.



To be successful, you must have:

* **Full AHPRA Registration** as a medical practitioner
* **PGY3/4+ experience** in acute care settings
* **Current ALS certification**, including airway management competence
* Ability to lead Medical Emergency / Code Blue responses
* Strong clinical judgement and confidence working autonomously
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic clinical environment
